How Much Does a UK University Cost from Nepal?
Across the fee pages HOA checked, a typical master’s cost about £19,000 a year outside the Russell Group (most between £16,000 and £26,000) and about £35,000 at Russell Group universities (most between £27,000 and £45,000). These are the middle values of one sample fee per university, so your course may cost more or less.
For the visa you show the tuition you still owe plus up to nine months of living costs, held for 28 days:
- Outside London: £1,203 a month, £10,827 for nine months (applications from 30 November 2026; £1,171 before).
- London: £1,570 a month, £14,130 for nine months (£1,529 before).
Worked example. A £19,000 master’s outside London, nothing paid yet: £19,000 + £1,203 × 9 = £29,827 (about NPR 58.2 lakhs). The same course in London would need £33,130.

How Should You Build a Shortlist? The 2 + 3 + 2 Approach
HOA builds each student’s shortlist in three tiers, so you aim as high as your profile allows and still hold an offer you can use for the visa:
- 2 ambitious choices slightly above your current profile, where a strong statement and experience can make the difference.
- 3 realistic choices well matched to your grades, subject and budget. Most of your effort goes here.
- 2 safe choices where your profile is comfortably above the entry rules.

UKVI has rated every sponsor Green, Amber or Red since 1 June 2026 but has not published the ratings, and HOA does not claim a rating for any university (see the RAG guide). Buckinghamshire New University’s licence was suspended on 30 September 2026; as of 13 October 2026 no decision had been announced (HOA’s BNU tracker).
