Our story
Who Is House of Admissions?
House of Admissions is a UK-only education consultancy in Nepal. Rahul Chhetri founded it in 2016 at Putalisadak, Kathmandu, with one deliberate choice: to work on UK admissions and nothing else. No USA, no Canada, no Australia.
Specialising lets HOA’s counsellors keep up with the rules that decide UK applications from Nepal: the Student visa, the 28-day funds rule, credibility interviews, the MOI route that can save up to NPR 35,000 in test fees, and the university ratings UKVI introduced in June 2026.
HOA opened a second office in Pokhara in 2024 and serves students from all seven provinces. Today the brand is simply HOA, and its social profiles appear as HOA Nepal. About the HOA name.

HOA opens at Putalisadak, Kathmandu
Rahul Chhetri founds House of Admissions with one rule: UK admissions only. The first students are counselled on UK master’s degrees and the UK Student visa.

Why the UK only? Most UK master’s degrees take one year. The Graduate visa gives two years of post-study work for applications made by 31 December 2026, and 18 months for applications from 1 January 2027 (three years for a PhD). Some UK universities accept an MOI letter in place of IELTS. HOA was built to help Nepali students use those options well.

How Is HOA Free for Students?
UK partner universities pay HOA a referral commission after a student enrols. Students pay HOA nothing, and HOA earns nothing if a student does not enrol.

UKVI university ratings, 2026. Since 1 June 2026 UKVI rates each university green, amber or red, but no rating is public yet. HOA does not claim to know them. - Visa rules, fees and deadlines are checked against GOV.UK and the Home Office’s own guidance, and each page shows the date it was last checked.
- HOA’s own figures, such as students placed and visa success, are labelled as self-reported.
- HOA does not publish lists of “green” or “red” universities, because no official ratings are public yet.
- If you find an error, tell HOA and it will be corrected.
