You show your unpaid first-year tuition plus living costs for up to nine months, with personal cash funds normally held for 28 consecutive days. For applications made until 29 November 2026 that is £1,171 a month outside London (£10,539) or £1,529 in London (£13,761). From 30 November 2026 it rises to £1,203 (£10,827) and £1,570 (£14,130). The amount and evidence depend on your circumstances. Check the official requirements before applying.

An eligible student loan or official financial sponsorship can be used if it meets UKVI evidence requirements. Personal cash funds normally need a 28-day history. An education loan from a Nepali bank is not automatically acceptable solely because the bank is Class A: the loan scheme, letter, amount and release conditions must meet the rules. Check the loan evidence before relying on it.

Some universities and courses accept alternative evidence, such as an eligible Medium of Instruction letter or an accepted English qualification. A waiver depends on your course, academic history and the university’s current requirements. University admission, visa English requirements and professional registration are separate checks; an MOI letter is not a universal exemption.

What counts is the date you apply, not when your course started or ended. No job offer or sponsor is needed.
