Undergraduate Study in the UK from Nepal: Fees, UCAS and Entry (2027)
A UK bachelor’s takes three years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and four in Scotland. Here is what it costs international students, how UCAS works and what you need after +2.
How Do Nepali Students Study a Bachelor’s in the UK?
A UK bachelor’s usually takes three years, or four in Scotland, and you apply through UCAS to up to five courses. On the fee pages HOA checked, international bachelor’s fees outside the Russell Group were mostly £15,000 to £22,000 a year. The equal-consideration deadline for September 2027 is 13 January 2027.
Apply through UCAS with your NEB Grade 12 results, English evidence and a personal statement. If your grades are below direct entry, a foundation year can lead to the degree.

How Does UCAS Work from Nepal?
- Up to five choices in one UCAS application, with one personal statement for all of them.
- The personal statement answers three questions in 4,000 characters in total. See the UCAS personal statement guide.
- Deadline: 13 January 2027 (18:00 UK time) for equal consideration for September 2027. Many universities accept later applications if places remain.
- Offers are conditional on your final results and English; you pick a firm and an insurance choice.
How Much Does a UK Bachelor’s Cost?
International students pay international fees, not the lower UK home fee. On the pages HOA checked, fees outside the Russell Group were mostly £15,000 to £22,000 a year. For the visa you show the tuition you still owe plus up to nine months of living costs: £1,203 a month outside London or £1,570 in London for applications from 30 November 2026 (£1,171 and £1,529 before).
Worked example. A £17,600 first year outside London, nothing paid yet: £17,600 + £1,203 × 9 = £28,427 to show (about NPR 55.4 lakhs). Over three years, tuition alone is about £52,800.
What Do You Need After +2?
- NEB Grade 12 results. Each university sets its own grades; see UK study after +2.
- English: usually IELTS 6.0 overall for many courses. Some universities accept school English results or an MOI letter.
- Below direct entry? A foundation year can lead to the degree if you pass at the required level.
